Depends what you want. If you want a decent cricket sim, get EA Cricket. If you want an arcade style knockabout that's fairly easy to pick up and master, get Brian Lara.
i've got cricket 2005 and that's just a bit inconsistent. the bowling is pretty easy (especially in ODI's) but the batting takes ages to get used to. however, now i'm more used to everything, the game is better so i recommend it
Lara 2005 is pretty decent on the PC, one day EA & Codemasters will get it right and release a quality cricket game. Lara 2006 is being tipped for Internet Play which will be cool!
Ah, i think it's a great game. Only takes a few minutes to change the England player names, very addictive stuff, although as said batting is hard to master.
Well worth getting - down to 19.99 in some shops on PS2
