Yes, he was immense (statistically) before the arm break, saving 2 penalties (one of which he gave away) away at Hartlepool on the opening day, Swindon winning 1-0. The parralels are amazing. He broke his arm (horrifically) and hasn't been the same. The thing is, 6'6 tall and looking as he does, you'd think he'd be brilliant but for every wonder save there's a 30 yard Forster free kick which goes past him (Brighton 2-1 Swindon, Withdean 2007) and there's Jake Robinson chipping him (Swindon 0-3 Brighton, 2006) and then there's QPR putting 3 VERY soft goals past him (Swindon 2-3 QPR, 2008). I think he's decent on his day, but there's a reason Crewe (TWICE!), Dagenham and Redbridge, Cheltenham and Bristol City didn't give him a contract after trials over the course of this season.

Kuipers should be #1, but Brezovan is a better than #2 than Smith has so far proved, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, he kicks worse than Kuipers. No, really.

You seem to know a lot about Swindon? do you support them?

I know nothing, I made it all up.

You're aware 2 of those games are Brighton games though, right? So sue me for remembering things that have happened in games that mean a lot more than most others. I also have friends who support Derby, would you like a load of random facts about Derby players? I felt my Swindon knowledge would be relevant in this thread, and still do. I can give more of a balanced opinion of Brezovan (pronounced Bretsovan, so you know) than most considering I've seen him play more often than most of you.

If you can believe the commentators Brezovan gave us soemthign we have not had under Kuipers and Smith, a confident defence who could push up. Seemed that Brezovan dominates his defence and his box and if its true then even if Brezovan is not he one then we know that we cannot continue with Kuipers OR Smith.

IFs are added to avoid slagging off by any regular attendee who thinks that those who dont go have no right to have an opinion and believe they know more about the club than the comentators.

Brezovan will give us something, I wasn't there today either unfortunately, but I know that Brezovan on form is commanding and dominant. But he lost his place at Swindon to ex-Crawley Phil Smith (who is staggeringly average at best) because he too often lost his confidence and stayed on his line. He didn't command enough for Danny Wilson's liking, so he put him on the bench shortly after he played against Brighton at the County Ground last year. Brezovan wasn't a regular #1 in Slovakia, and hasn't been for Swindon. He did have trials with Everton and Tottenham (Poyet was assistant at the time) whilst at Swindon, which is a credit to him, but he never had the consistency, in the opinion of myself, Danny Wilson and the majority of Swindon fans who felt he was better than their Phil Smith but that he was less consistent. If Poyet can keep his confidence up, he'll be a good goalkeeper. But he's a liability at times, and I prefer Kuipers, who is more experienced and less tempremental (in my opinion).

All that said, he saved a penalty and kept a clean sheet today. :clap2: Not easily done in our goal!

For those who dislike Graeme Smith, I will just point out he was facing Exeter today and not one of the best sides in the league, so don't jump down Smith's throat (he also saved a penalty on his Brighton debut, remember).

Definitely a Swindon supporter..

Why are you so insistent on EVERYONE thinking you're an ignorant little child? Seriously, you're an idiot. If you want to think I'm a Swindon supporter, you do as you want mate. But why feel the need to come on the thread and say that? Does it bother you that I can like more than one club? I realise you probably can't understand someone being able to follow more than one club and actually know who is who, but some of us have the mental capacity and don't restrict themselves to just following one club religiously. Personally, I don't want Brighton and Hove Albion to dominate my entire life, that would be severely depressing. I'm a fan of football, I like other teams as they have some personal reference to me. Maybe you'll understand that one day, maybe not. Everyone has a different culture in football, mine is that I have friends who follow other clubs and I take an interest in them. Give the "you're a Swindon fan" stuff a rest, or just lump it.

I have no objection to 'following' other teams but a normal person does not have that much knowledge about a club they do not support, sorry but its the truth.

Again, ignorant. I have alot of knowledge about alot of clubs in the country, you'd be suprised mr Wizard. My mind does just accumulate these things, I know alot of random trivia and you'd probably consider me a fan of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle (seeing them in February at St James' :clap2: ) and SO many more. Why am I not a normal person for having such a deep interest in the sport I've loved since I was very young? Could it not be that I've grown up watching live games on Sky and my interest isn't just in my home town club, but in football in general?

Also, who are you to decide what is normal? I don't really consider alot of what you say, and think, to be classified as "normal". But I don't judge you in a thread and declare you this, that and the other thing.

Anyone who doesn't trust the commentators only needs to ask any of the 607 away fans (or any of the 4500 home fans) what they thought of Brezovan's performance today, most of them will probably tell you he was the difference between the teams.

OK, it was only one game, but he had a great debut.

Thanks Ninja for your informed opinion. I too think its a bit early to make judgements on the keeper but he certainly seemed to have had a great game today and seeemd a nice guy in his interview. Quite openly stated he was far from fit so well have to see if he starts next week.
