I have my reservations, especially when it comes to our current establishment who are implementing it. Ideally all European countries will follow the same path and go back to becoming their own identities again( having their own currencies back would be a good start). The current EU has been exploited and manipulated far beyond it's original intentions and doomed to fail over the next 5-10 years (if that)

And I don't believe that national identities have in any way been diminished. Germany is still Germany, France is still France, Italy...etc.

But working together as a part of something bigger makes everyone stronger.
