True, but even Johnson's bluster will fail when enough pennies drop.Never underestimate Johnsons's ability to lie and bluster his way out of a crisis.
Before you had a British icon made in Britain
Now you have a British icon made in Poland by a French company
You've only scored one goal and its in your own net
Imagine not being able to fill your car up with petrol because you knew that you were voting not to be able to fill your car up with petrol
It's no wonder the hundreds of NSC posters who voted leave in the poll at the top of this page don't come near this thread any more, you'd have to be a complete idiot
It's no wonder the 247 NSC posters who voted leave in the poll at the top of this page don't come near this thread any more, you'd have to be a complete idiot
i'd imagine the run of the mill NSC poster wouldn't waste their time coming on to this thread to be berated , belittled and ridiculed by plums such as yourself...
it is what it is , your country is being run by bell ends.
No no, no , not only do we have our own passport again but we queue at another gate on arrival ,again showing our true identity not some hotch potch mash up of Europeans mingling together

Brings a tear to my eye

But I would imagine plums from the other side of the world would be all over it.
And, as you constantly tell people on here who aren't interested, so's yours

I’m not sure how much that has to do with Brexit and how much to do with shutting down Europe
Seems it’s a Europe wide thing.
I agree to an extent to be fair, but I think Brexit is exacerbating problems more than they would have been felt (e.g.) 3 years ago, and will mean the recovery from them takes longer.
One of the drivers union guys on the BBC said there was 40,000 tests cancelled last year - plus more renewal exams.
You then have people who needed to find work elsewhere during lockdown that don’t want to go back
Plus, people queuing up for petrol are idiots.
We also had a whole load of drivers from Europe (mostly eastern Europe) who left last year and as HGV driver is not on the list of acceptable occupations for the new Government post-Brexit immigration rules they are also being felt. A few years ago it's likely the hauliers would simply hire in some eastern European labour for a few weeks and get through the crisis, that's no longer an option.

The government had a clear strategy, get on with a hard Brexit right in the middle of a global pandemic, they were offered an option to pause by the EU but the political opportunity of burying Brexit under the Covid chaos was too great to resist. Remember they only have one priority and that's stay in power at any cost
As for people queuing for fuel, well if the PM says don't panic, well what should we expect?
So why is there a shortage of drivers in Europe?
The ability to try and blame Brexit fully for everything is pretty impressive, I say that as someone who voted to stay.
