A safety car start under wet conditions.

Hamilton leading Rosberg second. 19 points separating the two drivers. This is the penultimate round before Abu Dhabi.

Rosberg has never won a wet race.

As it stands with Hamilton leading and Rosberg 2nd, Rosberg would lead by 12 points going into Abu Dhabi.

Hopefully either Verstappen, Ricciardo or both can cause Rosberg some issues as we go on.

10 seconds after the safety car goes in, Kimi stacks it into the wall and the red flags come out.

Red Flag out on lap 21 What happens now about the race? Is it re run with the same pole placings or re start at Lap 21 for those still in it.
If it resumes, it would start in the same order as they were in when the red flags came out.

A safety car restart at lap 21. It's possible they won't run the full distance as there's a time limit.

If they cannot restart today would they do the same on another day or just scrub the race altogether Hopefully they will get started and Rosberg will skid off damage the car and not finish.

Is that for the order they are in now so LH would get 12 and NR 9 H(half of 1st and 2nd). n In which case LH would be best suited if they restart and run it.

I believe so yes. It's advantageous for Hamilton to get maximum points and then see how Rosberg does.

Am I right in thinking that coming together with Hamilton aside Rosberg has not had a single DNF over the whole season? Sometimes, in sport, the Gods are with you......

Looks like reaching 75% of the race and full points being awarded are slim, sadly. More heavy rain forecast

Just go racing or award Rosberg the championship FFS

FFS. Maybe they should just abort all F1 races in the rain. Never used to happen back in the day. Motorsport is dangerous and always has been, not any more it seems

Rosberg has to be the luckiest World Champion of all time
