I was mortified, especially as it was pointed out by a couple of young ladies out for a drink that evening! it was great meeting everyone and also Lokki’s lovely wife.Any of you attend the impromptu beers in a pub near St Pauls? It was the day (I think) we got planning permission. I went with Clapham Seagull and met Lokki 7, Afters, MoH, Dick Knights Mum and Dave the Gaffer. Was a raucous evening topped off the DtG spilling candlewax down his stop which caused an embarrassing stain.
I feel as though I'm missing something here....??He's still on here. Even has his own emoji.
I can’t remember exactly. Possibly first season back at Withdean. On other photos are Alan Cork, Dean Wilkins (plus Andy Rollings and Jonny Byrne). Is that the side of Bozzas head behind you?Odd isn't it. I'm in that photo but have zero recollection of where / when / why.
I recognise @Harry Wilson's tackle @Arthur Jan Merritt and a few others.
@Dick Knights Mumm when was that taken?

Ooh get you JBH...Shut it Roman scum!
Yeah, here you go. @chaileyjem interviewed me many years back.
(Let me know if you can't access this for any reason - I'm hoping Jem won't mind a copy and paste)
Welcome back BTW - great to see you posting again! It looked like this when I started: View attachment 169151
Pretty sure I went to that one, or one very much like it, on account of just working down the road. Seem to recall leaving earlydoors tho when it quickly became apparent that I'd stumbled upon a meeting of the Panini Sticker Collector SocietyAny of you attend the impromptu beers in a pub near St Pauls? I second those sentiments towards NSC. My history is uncannily similar. I wasn't born in Brighton but lived there from age 7 to 18 (Saltdean and then Hove, actually) and consider it my home town. I lived in the Midlands for 20 years, then back south to Horsham for 14 years and then left the UK in 2010. Not long after that I discovered NSC and have maintained my connection tion to the Albion through that medium. I think I've only been banned once, for 3 days if I remember correctly, for making a joke about Ali J, a backpack and our bench scaring the opposition.I moved away from Brighton in 1997 and away from the UK in 2011 - it was after the latter move that I really started using this board a lot more (I was more of a reader than a participant before that).
Because while I wasn't born in Brighton, it's where I grew up - I lived there from the ages of 6 to 18. So even though I've spent much more of my life away from Brighton than in it, Brighton feels like "home" in a way no other place does. I can't really describe it, but I feel it on my (very) occasional visits, even though none of my family still live there.
And NSC has been a vital part of maintaining my emotional connection to the Albion specifically and the city more generally. If NSC had never existed, I'd probably be feeling very rootless at this point of my life.
Just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to @Bozza, @ManxSeagull and everyone else involved in setting up and maintaining this site.
Hilarious. Clearly the ban served no useful purpose. Once a cock...I second those sentiments towards NSC. My history is uncannily similar. Indeed, as perfectly demonstrated by your good selfHilarious. Clearly the ban served no useful purpose. Once a cock...

Nope, it wasn't a 'backpack', it was a 'padded vest'. In this anecdote, you also seem to have omitted the mention of 'allahu akbar' that you so wittily included in your 'joke'.I think I've only been banned once, for 3 days if I remember correctly, for making a joke about Ali J, a backpack and our bench scaring the opposition.
Are you sure? I thought it was a backpack and I don't remember the allahu akbar bit but I expect you've checked. I didn't argue with the banning.Nope, it wasn't a 'backpack', it was a 'padded vest'. It wasn't me who banned you, but I certainly would have done had I seen it before the mod who did.
I don't recall the incident at all, but the post is still here:Are you sure? I thought it was a backpack and I don't remember the allahu akbar bit but I expect you've checked. I didn't argue with the banning.
I genuinely don't know I'm afraid.@Bozza where did you get your nickname from if your names Darren?
Just curious and love to hear where these come from
