The FL are planning to close the loopholes on overseas loan players so they are classified the same , with proposals to be voted on at the summer AGM of league clubs. Could mean a maximum 5 loan players per team allowed on the pitch at any one time , and no more than 4 players on loan from one club to another per season. The emergency loan system needs to be completely overhauled.

Interesting - if this happens and Watford get promoted this season, which IMO is extremely likely, what price on them coming straight back down with the lowest points total ever recorded in the premiership?!

Aluko has been Hull's best player this season and he's now out injured for the rest of the season. Gedo doesn't do much but has scored 3 in 3.
The big worry from Hull fans is that their successful passing game is about to fall to bits because they have only one more game before the rugby league fixtures start being played there.
There is a worry that things might start going pear-shaped.

Emergency loans are for FL clubs only, and as UEFA don't like them are being scrapped after next season anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong but poyet is very critical of the loan market. I believe he said something like, the loan system in the premier league is different and we don't want to rely on it.

I can't see him bringing in any more strikers

Poyet has used it before with Razak and Assulin.

We've saved a shed load on Dobbie's wages. Perhaps they'll go towards bringing a loan striker in, maybe one from QPR :lolol:

Won't happen, they have a well organised project nicely up and running now and if the loadn loophole is closed then I'd not be surprised if they initiate a series of free transfers which they can easily reverse the other way as and whern they see fit. All this whinging and moaning about Watford gets on my ample tits. I loved what Mick McCarthy said the other day after the Ipswich game - I'm not a fan of his but he tends to call a spade a spade.

Would assume that it is a loan to buy in the summer so if they achieve promotion do they think Boyd will be good enough for the Premier League

Certainly good enough for Championship, as already proven, but I suspect not quite good enough for the Premiership. Rather in the same bracket as his old strike partner Steve Morison. Morison was good at Millwall, failed at Norwich but has started off well at Leeds. Really surprised Leeds didn't go for him to renew the partnership.

Have to agree to a fair extent. Nothing I've seen has made me think he is going to make a massive difference at the TOP END of the Champ. Good League One player? Sure. So are Kaz and CMS.

Agree with Stat and Mello. More so, he has looked just ok in a team built for all out attack and very little in the way of defensive discipline so I am struggling to see how he can make the same impact in a far more cautious side like Hull. He and they may prove me wrong but I am surprised Bruce was interested.

Yes I'm with this opinion as well. Shone in League 1, but fairly ineffective in the Championship. Certainly done nothing against us......

I thought that Watford would pip Hull for 2nd. Not so sure now - reckon Boyd is an excellent option for them.

Funny how we are all waiting for our season to properly ignite and we are almost on the run in.

Ignited at Cardiff when we won ugly which was a very very rare result where we showed lots of guts and determination, sometimes missing in other tough away games. We also had a change of luck, Watch us go now and for the rest of the season
