Not watching now as my mrs demands strictly, on the whole though I can't believe such mistakes after getting back into it, I thought you'd fold. Sat far too deep. Do you think Sami has lost the dressing room?

Possibly- he has certainly lost the fans.

Really? Name an outfield player who has made more errors this season than Greer, he has directly cost us goals this season.
He's un droppable and that's a big worry.

He hasn't been at his best in recent games, but there are so many that are worse than him - Gardener, O'Grady...?

Just sitting in the car park outside the stadium, could not see the penalty from where we was. Was it a definite penalty ?
yes but he did go down quite easily.

A very gallant effort but our league position doesn't lie. There will be some who say Bournemouth are promotion candidates and we should have some perspective. There is some credence in that. But the likes of Rotherham, Brentford, Sheff Weds, Birmingham, aren't, and we still looked poor against them. Can't help feeling we have the makings of a really decent side, but Sami has made some horribly naive decisions that have cost us too many points. Those who have pilloried and abused him should be ashamed; like us, he will be desperate for success at the Albion. Unless anyone has evidence to disprove it, no-one can challenge his endeavour. But top end football is a brutal business and we have to be honest with our predicament. We are losing far too many games and while we look impotent in attack, we also look skittish in defence. It's with a heavy heart, because I want Sami to be the man, but I believe now is a good time for a change, before our players start to believe they really are relegation fodder and our confidence dissipates altogether.

Sad to have to agree. We are looking like a league 1 team on current results. It matters not how the team performs if they keep losing.

There has been an alarming slide in Albion's confidence and some bad results against pretty poor teams, home form has been shocking, I wonder why that is? Is it pressure from boo boys? I would be interested to know?

Obviously not good enough for the bed wetting johhnny come lately boo boys, but they scored more than one goal for a change, a forward scored and they lost narrowly to a team which is currently in an automatic promotion place. One of the bed wetters is upset that we are lower in the league than a team they think is as small as Crawley. How do European Cup Winners Forrest feel after being thumped at Huddersfield, where we managed to draw last week. Please go and support another team bed wetters will you?

What is it with people ramming this JCL crap down your throat. Get over it! !

What has happened to Holla? He looked quality the first few games, terrible recently...

Tex too - remember the first few games he played for us? Looked great. Seems to be a worrying trend.

I think some of the players are actually better than they look - somehow under Sami's system they look lost and low in confidence.

Baldock was the most coveted striker in League One, Bristol City were gutted to lose him. Surely the step up to the Championship isn't that huge, yet he has really struggled.

Good managers get the best out of their players - Sami seems to have the opposite effect!

On the plus side:

- 2 very decent goals in open play from our strikers
- we did not receive the battering some on here were predicting
- a very competitive Albion performance for 75 mins and could / should have nicked a draw
- enough positives to give some encouragement going into the next few games

Frustratingly:

- in the one game that our strikers finally find some form, we let in 3 soft goals.....2 of which we gifted to them
- failed to put our foot on the ball after pegging them back to 2-2, at that stage Bournemouth were still dangerous but we were on par with them. You can't score if you don't have possession (unless it's an OG of course...)
- when we did have possession in the last 10 mins there were far too many hoofed balls forward so virtually wasted having CMS on the pitch, when we might have created a chance or two to equalise
- more cheap yellow cards

Just leaving B'muff. No boo boys today, great support, back to the library on Tuesday. Home support or lack of does not help the team. Strange how the police box fans get dissed at home yet that is the vocal support that all give at away games. Looking forward to more away games rather than turning around and seeing many glum non vocal faces in the NS.

I am no johnny come lately having been going since 76 mate but i still get pissed off and we are heading one way at the moment.............fact!!!!

Don't worry about it mate - there are some uber-fans who like to shout 'bed wetter' at anyone who dares to doubt that we'll be in the play-offs. All through the summer, their mantra was, 'Wait until September 1st, you bed wetter'; through September it switched to something on the lines of 'Good squad, we had a great window, just need time to get used to the new system, you bed wetter'. Since then, they've gone a bit quiet - can't imagine why......... Occasionally, though, one of them still gets a bit over excited.

You're quite right, we are having a bad season so far. And when I first went to the Goldstone Charlie Livesey was banging them in!

Yes, but why are they (a tiny club) promotion candidates on a squad cost not dissimilar from ours, and with an accounts wages bill probably far less than ours? I suspect because Howe and those above him in charge of squad building have done a brilliant job over the same period in which Burke has been 'building' ours.

The writing was on the wall long before SH walked through the door. The Albion in the Amex era have struggled to score, and the squad was already in fast decline elsewhere too, culminating in a modestly but expertly assembled Derby team/squad outclassing the Albion last season on 4 occasions, the last 2 of which in the play offs, showed an embarrassingly vast gulf. To add to the decline, that outclassed Albion squad have also since lost Buckley, Ulloa, Ward, Kuzschak, Orlandi and Upson .... taking us down a further notch in quality.

It's very often said by ex-players and respected football writers that a club's prospects is mainly dependent on the squad acquired, and that the effect of the manager is overrated. Chelsea and Real Madrid give, whoever their manager/coach is, a quality squad, generating success no matter the constant manager sackings. Down several levels, Burke and TB's total reliance in Burke, have handed the Albion manager a mainly League One squad. Where's the blinding pace and skill to frighten defences, the slick counter attacking, the ruthless striker, the midfield creativity and the centre midfield power and pace?

Yes we are not allowed to voice our opinions. Then my mother gets abused before he edits his post and then he threatens me in a personal message. I'm trembling here, he is so scary behind his keyboard
