Capacity does not impact on the suitability of a stadium to be used in the Premier league. I recall that after we'd got promoted to the Championship the first time, Withdean was approved for the Premier League in the event we made it 3 in a row.

It's all about H&S etc, not quantity of seats.

They shouldn't be restricted from going up just because of their ground. That isn't proper football.

I guess if they go home they could afford to increase capacity anyway. Plenty of room around the ground.

I think the FA pretty much knew the situation wouldn't evolve in our case.
But were caught a bit with their pants down in Blackpools case and imposed some hastily drawn up sanctions.

If you read the page they're the only capacity requirements. For premier league it has lots of other requirements but nothing about capacity.

Like a world cup in Qatar, you don't need to be able to accommodate fans in the stadium, you just need enough space for the TV cameras.
