A few AFCB fans on 606 tonight claiming their chairman went on the pitch pissed after the game and started having a go at the crowd over the microphone. And offering some of them out. Bournemouth refusing to comment at the moment

Can't wait to see that one. Karma for that shocking late penalty last season, methinks. They're going down :D

Only similar to Delia in the fact that the chairman was on the pitch having had a drink. Delia was trying to encourage the fans to get behind the team. "Let's be 'aving you ......"

Oh I know, it was just the fact that he was on the pitch and reportedly a few sheets to the wind that was similar.

Am I alone in feeling for the bloke.

He has done really well for Bournemouth up to this season. Howe went having said he would stay. He has them had to sell some good players to keep the club alive and not surprisingly the team is struggling. Is that his fault? Should he start spending money again and send them bust again?

I think sometimes supporters have to be realistic.

And yes I know he stupidly said if you don't like it go and support Southampton but he was being abused at the time.

Am I missing something? Or am I getting old and sensible?!

Bournemouth fans on 5live tonight reckoned he appeared initially with some hard mates, and was using intimidation against those who'd complained.

And at some stage today, or recently stated "if you don't like things, go and support Southampton".

Seems like a class kind of Director.

If a lot of money received for players in last years, he needs to be transparent to fans where in broad terms, it's gone. For example, it might legitimately be covering losses due to low crowds / better contracts for the their first team?

Seems like a class kind of Director.

He made the Southampton comment at a fans forum after repeatedly being abused for selling players.

I accept they've been sold, and that must be frustrating, but you do have a pretty good record of absolutely mugging other teams for your players. Danny Ings was supposed to have gone for a million quid, after, what, 8 goals? Josh McQuoid for £400k? Pitman for I can't remember what. Ridiculous amount of money for such inexperienced players. We only got £1.5m for one of the classiest players in L1 last season- by the standards of the Ings fee, Bennett should have gone for at least £5m. So Mitchell can't be that naive...or is it what then happens to the money you're querying??

In PR terms it was an absolute disaster. If I'd been his adviser I would have said definitely not go on the pitch with a mic after several sherberts. Sober up, and then, in the cold light of day, put a statement on the website and via the media about the state of the club's finances etc. However, that's easy to say after the event!

Anymore of the Red wine and i can see a Martinf pitch rant coming on
