Why does anyone think that doubling the size of their lips to look like a duck is a good thing and makes them more attractive?
Whilst I am in complete agreement with your point, it has little to do with the thread title (lip fillers and Botox being different)

I think its because its all they see on these reality TV shows like love island where everyone is pretending to be something they are not... I totally agree with you why put filler in your face to make your lips bigger or hide wrinkles,,, these little blemishes are what makes you who you are. But i am a 60 year old man with absolutely no dress sense so probably would not understand the need to do this .

Embarrassed yourself a bit here fella
if you’re referring to me, lighten up.
Truth of the matter is that I think it sad that the ones who do go excessive to chase ‘beauty‘ and or ‘ acceptance’ don’t need to do it at all. No matter what you/they/me looks like everyone is beautiful. Shame that media pressure makes anyone so insecure they have to alter how they are.

Have you not wanted to look like you've got two savaloys just millimetres from popping in your mouth?
I live in Walthamstow, but occasionally we slip into Chingford to pop to a supermarket. It's all the rage there, especially amongst women in their early 20s and it properly freaks out my kids.
I think it's a bit like those dicks that go to the gym for 8 hours a day, massive crises of self confidence that makes people feel that's what they need to look good.

If it's done properly it looks fine. Trouble is it often isn't.
What I find extraordinary is the time that some of the young women I work with take with their makeup. Because I work early, the ones who come in early have not put their slap on yet and they look fine. One morning, one of them turned up with a small suitcase containing makeup as they were going out straight from work. I asked how long it took to do it and she said 4 hours! Once she was finished, she was unrecognisable and facially indistinguishable from her friends. The power of social media.

Why do you say that?
I am not embarrassed by my opinion any more than you should be.
Because Botox is a muscle relaxant, so wouldn’t be used as a lip filler
