My advice is to roll with it. At times like this the path of least resistance is often easiest.

It’s not ideal but situations like the one with your father are highly charged with emotion and everyone has their way of dealing with it and handling it. It seems they mean well even if their way isn’t totally appropriate.

In this difficult time for you, tell them, in no uncertain terms, what you think. In this day and age you'll find it's no good pussy footing about these nut jobs who are clinging to a pathetic belief to justify their lack of understanding of science

Yeah, as I've got older, I've become less tolerant
