Bloody punters always trying to rip off the honest bookies who are only there to provide jobs and a bit of fun to the downtrodden masses.

A gambling debt is a debt of honour and not legally enforceable. Ladbrokes are suggesting these are related contingencies. Though I cannot see how on this occasion.

I don't even know how this mistake could have been made... considering our system. What a 24 carat dipstick.

Glad it wasn't me.... this time.

Didnt know you could do accies on snow fall!

i think they are trying to say just that, you cant.

Ladbrokes are suggesting these are related contingencies. Though I cannot see how on this occasion.

its fair to say that if it snows in London, its related that it might also snow in Southampton and Oxford say.

Yes but snow fall is a random event.

I have seen the betting slip on another site the cashier has acknowledged (ringed) each price. Therefore it has not just been taken in error the cashier has checked the price of every 'event' this would have taken a few minutes. It is not a case of just taken the slip putting through the till without really looking at it. Ladbrokes should just agree a decent ex gratia payment

Young Billy Smart in Worthing lost a bet some years ago when a company, I think it was Ladbrokes, refused to pay out on a dog accumalator because one of the races was on the slip as 9.17 and the actual race was listed as 9.19 or vice versa and they argued that the race didnt exist. If I remeber right they returned his stake money and not the winnings of about £8k, which was a sizeable win in the 60s, that was going on the last race. They deemed the whole bet null and void.
