Unexploded bomb found in Shoreham From The Argus)

Shoreham footbridge closed at 1pm today after an unexploded bomb was discovered by workmen.

Sussex Police are guarding the bridge until the Royal Navy bomb disposal team have made the area safe.

I still have memories of a games lesson when I was at Middle School. Some kid, who was the class idiot of the time & never first choice pick for football, came running across the field to the teacher with a WW2 grenade in his hand - "Sir, look what I've found". After the teacher had shit himself, he instructed one of the class to "get the Caretaker & Headmistress quickly".

Maybe defusing WW2 armoury was in their job description?
