I always shower in the morning but really suffer from body odour, especially in hot weather.

What I find works for me is a decent quality 24hour protection roll on deodorant, followed by an anti perspirant spray and then finally followed with a deodorant spray. Sounds excessive but it works for me but sometimes on a hot day I can still get caught out. Also you’ve got to have a shower when you wake up fella, if like me you sweat like a dyslexic on countdown you can’t be having a shower before you go to bed and expect not to smell like Ghandi’s flip-flop the next afternoon.

I never EVER use deodorant under my arms - it's not what's it's designed for. It's usually a body spray. Anti perspirant under the arms and if the normal brands don't work then I think you can get stronger ones from a pharmacy that continue aluminum or something that might work.

Deodorant just tries to overpower the sweaty smell but ends up combining with it a making it ten times more potent.

I actually think my body adapts to the current antiperspirant I'm using. I can buy a load of Right Guard, and it's great for a few weeks or month, but then it's as if my sweat glands go, 'right lads, found a weakness here, lets give it some'. I then switch brands back to say Sure, and the same thing, first weeks / months brilliant, then starts to fail again.

Haha, I've noticed that too. It's like the cold virus in that it seems to be able to adapt and keep developing to overcome the spray. I tend to just buy whatever spray is on offer at the time so end up changing brands all the time anyway

Thank you to everyone that's posted for their advice on what deodorants to use. I bought a couple of Gillette roll-ons at lunchtime and I asked a shop worker which ones are best for stopping BO. Roll-ons are the solution and I think I'll shave my armpits to stop it clinging to the hairs. Hopefully that'll do the trick.

Women love a bit of sweat mate. It turns them on. Don't change. Literally.

Absolutely this. My girlfriend refuses to let me have a shower when I come home hot and sweaty. She insists on stripping me and licking me dry from head to toe first. Then I usually have a shower and f*** off down the pub.

Are you Joking. I cannot think of one Woman/Person who would like the smell of stale BO.

My advice wash you dirty bastard, how have you got this far in life without sorting this issue out.

from the age of 13/14 you should surely be aware of your stench?

Just shave your 'pits and clean them thoroughly.

You know why women don't smell? Apart from copious amountsof perfume, they don't tend to have underarm hair. Who needs it anyway?

Get rid and treat the area.

BoF, I'll see your shave and raise you a strip wax.

Got mine done a month ago - no smell, no stubble and cleans out the pores too.

I know you said you use lynx, but one piece of advice I'd give any other bloke here is DON'T use Brut deodorant. Absolutely disgusting smell when mixed with a bit of sweat.

On the other hand - Brut antiperspirant works like a charm!

QUOTE=turienzo's lovechild;4939918]i find that womens antiperspirant is MUCH more useful, try to use a non-scented one though or you'll smell like a BUMDER[/QUOTE]

I second that. I use Amplex. Its aimed at women but is the best I've used. it contains aluminium which clogs your pores. Yellow is lemony smelling. Blue's nice too.

Obviously a Woman would have to be a bit odd to like the smell of Body Odour but they love a freshly sweaty man as it releases his pheromones which is very attractive to Women.

I hardly ever pulled in nightclubs when I was dancing because I'd be sweating all the time.

Hope you're keeping good at the moment buddy. :)

Things are on the up. Secret Squirrel mate.
