Lynx is absolutely useless as an antiperspirant. Literally anything else would do a better job. That's your problem right there, as others have said, try Sure, Right Guard, anything else, or- if it's really as bad as you say- go see your doctor who can prescribe you some super-hardcore antiperspirant that you're only allowed to use once every two or three days.

Lynx kicks up there stinks should be its tag line. f***ing useless shit in a can.

Right Guard, Sure or Nivea all the way. Also Right Guard do some really shower gel as well. One shower gel worth looking at is Lynx. There is an orange coloured one in a clear bottle with exfoliating lumps in it. Works a treat. Also they do a cactus milk one in a white and black bottle.

Pop to the docs I'd suggest. I suffered the same thing in my sweaty teenage years - really got me down in the end as tried every spray/roll on there was and nothing worked. docs gave me a special roll on use. After two days things were dry as a bone, amazing stuff, never had to apply it since - that was 15 years ago and Its still working now

Similar to what some others have said - it worked by blocking the pores, but wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest

I'd go with the majority on here, suggesting a good anti-persipirant. Or if suffer from a bit of Hyperhidrosis, try something like "driclor" (you can buy over the counter from chemists) - which should help.

Go to Boots and buy some Milk of Magnesia and put some of that under your arms. This is a tip givento me by a brazilian (they do it over there). Works really well. It also won't stain any clothes or turn white yellow/ black to white etc (it may leave a white residue on skin or the inside of your clothes but this wipes off easily). Finally, use decent aftershave and you'll smell great rather than of naff deodorant.

I actually think my body adapts to the current antiperspirant I'm using. I can buy a load of Right Guard, and it's great for a few weeks or month, but then it's as if my sweat glands go, 'right lads, found a weakness here, lets give it some'. I then switch brands back to say Sure, and the same thing, first weeks / months brilliant, then starts to fail again.

Back to the OP, sweat doesn't actually smell of course, when sweat dries bacteria start to grow on it, and it is the bacteria that actually smell, usually compounded by more sweating. I used to use these when I cycled to work but there were no showers there, can do a job.
