I'm enjoying the hot sunny weather we've been having in the last week but have been very conscious of my underarm sweating and smelling like I've got two French onions under my armpits. It seems to be getting worse. I have a shower every morning and use good quality deodorant (Lynx spray) but by the afternoon I smell awful and have noticed one or two people I see regularly holding their nose. I've got a physically demanding job and that doesn't help but I can't think of any ideas on how to stay smelling good, even the girl I've been seeing in the last few weeks has commented on it but not in a horrible way as her feet stink. :lolol:

Is it to do with a thyroid gland that causes BO? Or is it heriditary? Any help would be much appreciated for anyone that has the same problem. Thanks.

I don't know if this is a wind-up or not, but Lynx spray is not good quality deodorant. Antiperspirant rather than deodorant is your friend.

It's not a wind-up.
Seriously? Well, if so, don't use Lynx deodorant, it's really more of a body spray. Use an antiperspirant, which will contain aluminium to block your pours and stop you stinking up the joint.

If you're the chap from the 23 earlier, between the hospital and Lewes Road Sainsburys, your body odour is truly astonishing. I know it's been warm, but Jesus CHRIST, this guy was dominating the entire bus. I went downstairs to get away from the stench (my eyes were watering), but even from down there you could get an unhealthy whiff. When he then got off at the Sainsburys, he went in style with a pirouette as he reached the bottom of the stairs. There was a GASP in horror as his stench descended on the rest of us.

I know you said you use lynx, but one piece of advice I'd give any other bloke here is DON'T use Brut deodorant. Absolutely disgusting smell when mixed with a bit of sweat.

Try a different shower gel and most definitely get rid of Lynx. As the guys above say, antiperspirant is the way to go!
If it's an ongoing issue, carry a small pack of baby-wipe type things and have a bird bath middle of the day and re-deodorize!

I feel like Heat Magazines agony aunt!!

Always carry a can that's my advice.

On the subject of deodorant many many years ago whilst at college, I felt a bit wiffy and went into a local corner shop in the East End and bought a can.

All imported stuff, no named brands - just picked the first one off the shelf.

You know how anti-perspirants work ? They block your pores with wax and all sorts of things.

This one was a little too waxy. It was literally glue in a can.

I gave up over a number of days trying to wash it off and ended up having to shave my armpits. There was nothing else to do.

In fact (as I recall) I only had to shave one, which felt particular weird. But like wearing single glove ala Michael Jackson or Alvin Stardust. Expect with armpit hair.

Wash underarm with Sea Salt and then a good deodrant that is not marketed to get every bit of skirt in your bed. Use a neutral smelling one like Vasaline deodrant. If you want girls just walk around with your cock out.

Over there
I've also heard that you've got to make sure that your under arm air is very short. Because if you spray on anti persperant and you are rather hairsuit in the armpit department, the spray clings to the hair rather than the skin and you stink quicker.

I use Nivea Dry Impact which is a nice fresh smell - allegedly it lasts for 48 hours but I rather doubt that.

Abort, retry, fail
Just shave your 'pits and clean them thoroughly.

You know why women don't smell? Apart from copious amountsof perfume, they don't tend to have underarm hair. Who needs it anyway?

Get rid and treat the area.

Use right guard fresh antiperspirant! I've used it for years and even after exercise you can smell the deodorant suppose to BO. Yes you might smell sweaty after exercise but never of BO.

The only thing that fucks me off about antiperspirant is the white shite you get on any coloured/dark t-shirts after putting it on quickly after spraying. If its a new can don't use too much to begin with as it's stronger than you think and you'll avoid getting loads of white crap on your t-shirts.

If you do an active job, take a can of deodorant with you and spray more on at lunch! And if it's hot shower twice a day! Morning and evening using Radox for men shower gel.

Man, I feel like a woman...:lolol:
