Bobby Zamora - the new Graham Barrett?

New, tall, energetic U-21 international striker, runs around a lot - crowd pleasing footwork, runs very well off the ball. After ten-plus appearances and no goals, the Tottenham crowd begins to wonder just what they've bought.

Meanwhile, back at Withdean, Albion are a one man team, with an amazing, eleven goal striker.

Discuss?

No need to panic. It was 25 games before Kerry Mayo scored his first goal for the Albion!

Great comparrison, Kerry was forever being touted as a top level striker I am really suprised he made the transition to lower division full back so easily.???

Seemed to do ok against Boro today, missed a good chance when he was offside but didn't know it.

I reckon once he gets a couple of goals for them he will do fine.

As for the Albion, just need someone with a bit of presence to partner Knight and we'll be back on track.

i really thought he looked out his depth today.i dont think he is gonna get much of a chance at spurs.when you see how much of the ball the other 3 stickers on the pitch got in an average game i thought bobby looked lost.

It won't be long I suspect before Zamora is loaned out or sold to a Div 1 club. I'm not sure he can/or will cut the mustard in the Premiership although I would really like to see him do well.

Picture the scene;

Mickey Adams realises how content and professionally treated with honesty he was with Brighton, and takes a small drop in pay in exchange for win-bonuses and shares, by returning to manage BHAFC.
He brings in Brooker and gets Bobby Zamora back, strengthens the side with a couple of free transfers from Leics and other Prem clubs, and retains the backbone of the Albion defence.

This scene will, of course, be instigated by the small factor of us getting the go-ahead for Falmer and re-joining the Football League to become the finest example of a club that beat all the odds in the face of awful adversity.

Sir Richard Knight leaves Buckingham Palace, with a small chip on his shoulder due to Liz becoming enthused and infused by ALBION-mania !!

Nice :bounce:

:bhasign: :goal: :albion: :mexican:   :clap2: :drink:

So what about McPhee? Personally I think he's been by far the better of our 2 strikers recently. If Knight put in the same effort then we'll be back on track

It is well known that Kerry Mayo has a rocket shot. Just a few refinements to his technique (is our coaching good enough?):

1) Best if Kerry is facing the right way
2) Best if the other side doesn't have a winger
3) He has scored against the (Peter)borough before (I think: this is from memory)

:goal:

Zamora will be fine, just needs a goal.

He was better than Keane who did nothing yesterday, but hes hardly going to take him of is he.
