My 13 year old son left his football boots at school and unable to find his old ones I had to let him wear my prized possession, namely a pair of old Bobby Zamora Addidas Preditors signed by the great man himself. They were the last pair worn by the great man in the stripes and now they are caked in mud and I`m scared the signature has worn off.

Bad fan or good dad ?

Mind you my lad did have a good game in them.

Talking of which my eldest Junior made his debut for Ferring United reserves yesterday and they won 4-1, 1 goal and one assist and his manager bought him a pint afterwards, may well play for the 1st team next week so well done son.

You don't look old enough to have a son who is of drinking age!! :)..........did see you yesterday but we were in our seats 4 rows back and you were walking along the front.

They were given to me by an old member of the coaching staff. I was always planning on auctioning them for the REMF. I still will do I think.

He is 18 now but sadly not self-sufficient therefore forever relying on Bank of Mum & Dad to sub him financially although he had not gone out when I stumbled in last night as had played a full game of footie in the afternoon which was good news financially.

Shame I didn't see you yesterday, we were drinking in the Wellington pre-match which was a superb pub.

Are they authenticated with a certificate ?

I expect they would fetch a good sum if they are in an auction.

We did not have a drink prior to the game, as i was driving, we went for a meal, but after the game we went on down to a place called Clevedon and stayed at friends, we got absolutly slaughtered, and got home a little while ago.

Will catch up with you at the next game .....saw quite a few NSCers yesterday.....

Not unusual for footballers to wear boots 1/2 a size or a full size smaller
