Don't disagree with you there, but it does seem a little odd that Reading should just release a player who they could probably get a decent fee for.

He'd easily walk into our team. Pretty sure there would be bigger clubs knocking though...

I saw this on SSN earlier, and wondered how long it'd take before it being on here.

This threads always make me laugh.
1.Couldnt afford his wages
2.Couldnt afford a decent signing on fee
3.He is too good for Brighton
4.If he doesnt get a decent offer here im sure many of the MLS teams will snap him up

Why do we think all released players/free transfers would cut off their right arm to join us!!! Lets' put things into perspective. We are 5th bottom of league one, playing in a shitty stadium, and to crowds of 5,500. I know why don't we go after the likes of Jermaine Pennant and sign a pre contract agreement with him as he is only on loan at Portsmouth and I sure he would jump at the chance of joining us when his contract is up at the end of the season. He could really help us push for promotion to the Championship.

Cost Reading around a million, so quite a loss they are making on him

Mr. Madjeski is as tight as a rabbit's.... there is absolutely no way Convey will be departing at a major loss. Lita is back in the fold now, as Mr. M wanted more dosh for him and he is holding out for the right money for James Harper.
Reading are in the position where they don't have to sell ( apart from the odd bit of fine tuning ) Just do the sums over the last 4 yrs i.e money in from Sky and amount spent on players.
Convey has been sidelined with injury and now finds himself frozen out. He is Championship ability but no better and Coppell clearly feels he has better at present.
USA would be my bet.

Couldn't agree more. Seems people on here forget that players need paying and consider whether there is a fee or not.
