Forgive my foolishness, but I was always under the impression committees were cross party.
Because Cambridge Analytica was NOT a Tory Party commissioned piece of work as claimed. And that is relevant to my point about a previous post not being 'so stupid it hurts' how?

And there I was thinking you were all in favour of tortuous interpretations.Which has no reference within the post I replied to. This is all getting a bit, dare I say it, a bit stupid...

Eh? The Tory party, along with almost the entire political establishment (as well as nearly all the media) were staunch Remainers! Even the official Tory government propaganda they sent to each home urged a Remain vote!
I'm not sure how Cambridge Analytica are supposed to have affected the vote (perhaps they brainwashed the vote counters to misread the X's), but if it was just Tweets, Facebook campaigns etc then it was a mere drop compared to the resources behind Project Fear!
Exactly.Such a stupid comment that it hurts. The Tory high command were almost all Remainers.

Tory Party - information mining for elections
Brexit/Leave Campaign - ditto for referendum
Note also of course that the current Tory front bench is almost entirely comprised of staunch brexiteers.
So as I was saying........ ..........
Will it be as cringeworthy as the US version where a bunch of old men ask retarded questions about this so called "internet" thing?
Hmm....
Current front bench includes the following who voted Remain: Prime Minister, Chancellor, Home Secretary, Defence Secretary, Northern Ireland Secretary, Justice Secretary, Business and Energy Secretary, Culture Secretary, Housing and Communities Secretary, Scotland Secretary, Education Secretary, Welsh Secretary, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Conservative Party Chairman
That's 14 of the 22 full cabinet members including 3 of the big 4 offices of state who are clearly not staunch Brexiteers. So you're spectacularly wide of the truth.
Sorry but what tosh!
Às a party they've nailed their flag to a soundbite "brexit means .......whatever we want it to mean"
Where they were then individually was about politics. Where they are now is about collectively hanging on to power at all costs

Tosh? I've given facts and you've given ignorant prejudice.
If they are all hanging onto power at all costs then they're driven by power not ideology but you previously claimed that they are almost entirely all 'staunch Brexiteers'. So which is it - ideologues or Machiavellian politicians?
Your arguments are all over the place.
