He will remain. No other country's FA want him out apart from us. We stand apart from the footballing world on this one. How else did he get voted in by such a landslide.

f***ing Joke!

It is time for the whole of football to launch a coerced attack on Blatter and the dinosaur cronies running football in FIFA. Unfortunately Blatter has most of the football world in his pocket, feeding them with money & gifts. They are unlikely to bite the hand that feeds.

Battle
If Suarez said anything it was the word "Negrao" which is a common nick name for any Black person in South America. It literally means "Big Black" and has absolutely no racial connotations.

But if that is the case, why was there any need for Suarez to mention the fact Evra is black? The only way I can see him using the phrase would be in an offensive way. He is hardly likely to pat Evra on the back and call him a 'lovely black gentleman' is he??

Worthing
"But, normally, at the end of the match, you apologize to your opponent if you had a confrontation during the match, you shake hands, and when the game is over, it is over. Anyone who has played a football match, or a match in any sport, knows that this is the case."

What PLANET is this man on?!! Effing and jeffing at each other is all well and good, but how can you take racist abuse and then be expected to go and shake their hand once the final whistle is gone?

He's a bone-fide mentalist.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Radio 5 had a player from Blackburn (don't remember who - trying to negotiate motorway exit at time) at about 6.30 who was incandescent with fury about Blatter's comment.

How can this dinosaur be ruining the greatest sport on earth!?

Fixed...
Blatter definitely needs to go. Maybe football will make a few steps in the right direction if he goes. Goal-line technology being one of them.

I think this is my favorite quote from the interview.
"I think the whole world is aware of the efforts we are making against racism and discrimination. And on the field of play sometimes you say something that is not very correct, but then at the end of the game, the game is over and you have the next game where you can behave better."

Here is some GREAT f***ing NEWS ABOUT THE STADIUMS IN QATAR!

The air conditioned stadiums that are supposed to combat the heat during the 2022 World Cup might have been a major selling point of Qatar's World Cup bid, but they might never come to fruition.

The architects in charge of designing Qatar's World Cup stadiums are reportedly against having air conditioning in the arenas. According to the Associated Press, the head of the architect firm that's spearheading the project said that air conditioning a venue of that size is "notoriously unstable" and is too costly.

As an alternative, the firm suggested shading all of the seats and constructing the stadiums in other ways to account for the most ventilation possible.

ZURICH (AP) -- After all the talk of using state-of-the-art air conditioning to cool stadiums at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the architect in charge of one of the venues claimed Tuesday that a more old-fashioned solution would be cheaper and better.

Leading firm Populous, which is designing the Sports City stadium in Doha, is trying to persuade Qatari organizers to scrap plans to have air conditioning at the venue.

Populous director John Barrow said the system is too expensive and "notoriously unsustainable'' for the environment when used on a large scale.

"I think you can be more clever. It is about air movement, moisture in the air and it is about temperature at the right time of day,'' Barrow told delegates at the International Football Arena conference. "If we get it right ... that is the way ahead.''

Air-conditioned stadiums to beat 50-degree (122 Fahrenheit) desert heat in June were a defining theme of Qatar's winning bid last year.

Qatar hired Populous to help its campaign, drawing on the firm's experience in building signature projects such as the new Yankee Stadium, London's 2012 Olympic Stadium and Arsenal's Emirates arena.

The firm built a small prototype of an air-conditioned stadium in Doha to help persuade a FIFA inspection team that the tiny nation's ambitious World Cup project could succeed.

However, Barrow now believes the planned Sports City arena can be kept cool by shading seats and using traditional Arabic methods for ventilation.

"We are doing away with all the air conditioning kit that is going to cost a fortune to run,'' Barrow said.

Instead, he is proposing wind towers that suck up hot air to create fan-like air movement inside the 47,000-capacity stadium.

"It is part of the building tradition in the Gulf to create wind towers which naturally ventilate. If you have got an air movement which keeps you cool like a fan that makes all the difference.''

Qatar promised FIFA that its 12 World Cup stadiums could be regulated at around 26 degrees (79 Fahrenheit).

Now, Barrow says spectators could be kept comfortable at 30 degrees (86 Fahrenheit) during evening matches.

"It doesn't need to be 26 degrees. Fan expectation needs to be a little more relaxed,'' he said on the conference sidelines.

Seating areas also need to be kept in shade during searing daytime temperatures, instead of allowing stadiums to "suck in'' heat that is retained after dark.

"Suddenly you are sitting on a radiator. It is totally counter productive,'' Barrow said. "The objective for me is to keep the (stadium) bowl sun-screened during the day, with natural ventilation and also encouraging a vortex by using all kinds of clever tricks.''

Someone is literally going to die as a result of this madness. Probably a fat geordie who has never experienced any temperature over 10 degrees before.

Racism is a question of definition. Pikey is acceptable to many on this board (even tho there is a caravan park a stones throw from the amex) but other words are not. The sentiment of Blatter is, "grow up and get on with it". Its a great press story, the press love it and it gives many a great opportunity to be superior, but frankly, John Terry sleeping with his mates miss's was far worse than a verbal slanging match that could equally have been an "irish, Welsh, ginger or whatever cu next tuesday". I say this and I dont rate Terry as a great footballer - he is the typical english centre half and the type of player that shows why england have been rubbish for at least the last 20 years

Not the real one
Blather will not be toppled from power at Fifa, even if he said the "N" word 10 times! But what we need is football to turn its back on FIFA and Blatter. Even his home town of Visp,Valais, Switzerland hate him! They are seeing the court case of Sion vs Uefa to be a battle against FIFA too. Sion is the local team.

We need players, fans, clubs, associations, to turn their back on him. Time to get rid!
