At the centre of every galaxy including our own is a black hole so they are relatively easy to spot. Exoplanets on the other hand are comparitively very small and specific and therefore very hard to detect. There are several exoplanets discovered by Seti and the like which are candidates for inhabiting life, but the search for extra terrestrial life is still in preliminary stages. :thumbsup:

What he says! Black holes are massive and exert an obserable pull on galaxies millions of miles away... Advanced lifeforms... don't!
