A quick look at NSC in the last half hour has put me right off this cup tie.

Yes, it's a good day out and we'll make good money out of it, but:

Why is everyone on here suddenly creaming themselves? There's already a ridiculous thread on Ask The Club about coach times (the coach is run by the supporters club, not the football club, and they aren't going to have times set before the date has been confirmed!) and there's numerous threads about ticket allocation size, how to get there, and who gets priority for what.

What a load of shite. Christ knows how bad it's going to be like when tickets are actually available. And yep, remember that the average away attendance is about 800, not 6000 big game charlies.

How about we just let the date and time of the game be arranged, let the club sort how they prioritise tickets (and hope they do it fairly), and in the meantime, concentrate on Brentford on Saturday and more important things like who is going to start at the back, who will be up front, the chances of it being snowed off, and what outfit Gus is going to wear. The club staff, especially those in the ticket office must be pretty f***ed off right now, knowing they're going to have to deal with some of the biggest goons in football over the next few days.

Some people need to get a bloody grip. Good draw = yes, but my god there's some shit that comes with it.

edit: and I didn't even mention the complaining when some people don't get a ticket!!!

a rare day that I agree with you but more than a dozen threads within minutes of the draw is ridiculous

Walsall is a far more important game and pretty much identical for travel. I assume we will take at least 2000 there.

I know where you're coming from, but isn't it just nice to have something to be positive about and look forward to? There's probably a fair few of our fans who haven't seen us play that many big clubs, let the, enjoy it. Doesn't do any harm.

I can't believe what I'm reading.

We get drawn against one of the top teams in the country in one of the top stadiums in the country. What kind of reaction did you expect? Thats what happens when a big game comes along. In addition to this, the inverted snobbery of some people on here may be even further damaged when the new stadium comes along, because some of the people who only turn up to the big games are going to be needed if we are going to fill it. Personally I am incredibly excited at the prospect of 6,000 singing Albion fans at Villa Park, regardless of the result. So should you be.

I think Villa was a great draw as it will be a new ground for most people and its one of the best.I do agree with the original post though.

So how is it damaging again?
