i read this morning on Facebook that the new Bishop of Whitby is an Albion Fan. Sure enough, googling came up with this - his introduction to the Diocese of York, which includes mention of the mighty Seagulls. He apparently has the club crest on his robes!

God is on our side! …… and the below is not implying that TB is God!

Wonder if he's the first Barry the Bishop? Perhaps it's just me, but Barry just doesn't sound like a name for a bishop!
Baz for short not to be confused with Bash !!

I used to know a Barry the Methodist Minister.

One day he was cursing and swearing in the pub about Leeds (he was a Man United fan) - and I pointed out that the bible's teachings were all about 'Goodwill to All Men'. He responded by saying that the bible might say 'goodwill to all men', but it didn't add 'and Leeds United'.....

Barry is from Shoreham and went to school in Hove. I knew his younger brother. He found God in his teenage years.

He used to go to the Goldstone and also the Withdean before moving up north.
