The Blues known for troubles in and off the field have just sacked manager John Eustace by the American owners. BBC reports that Mr Rooney yes the same one is to be offered the post, City currently lie Sixth in The Championship.

I have a lot of family/friends who are Blues fans. There is pretty much wholehearted disbelief at this decision, Eustace was popular although that had waned with a poor run of results in September halted by the 2 recent wins. The new CEO has links to Rooney and it’s believed there will be some Wrexham style documentary at some point, which someone with 17 million Twitter followers is going to give greater publicity to than the former Kidderminster manager would have. It’s rumoured that the coaching staff will be Rooney, Ashley Cole and John O’Shea. It doesn’t look a great move at the current time and the new owners seem to have gambled all the goodwill they have built up to date on this appointment so can’t afford to get it wrong. Interesting times at that club, not for the first time!

Echoes of Birmingham sacking Gary Rowett, who had them in the play-off position, to replace him with Gianfranco Zola ... and swiftly plummet down the table.

Will history repeat itself?
I remember that well as I was HT at a school in Bham with several Blues fans on the staff. It happened less than 48h before our game against them at St Andrews. The Blues fans were bemused and even worse after the game. It was the one where we came from behind and Glenn scored that last minute winner and ran the length of the pitch towards us to celebrate. A LOVELY game!

How stupid do those owners look, what a daft statement to put out after winning their last two games scoring 7 goals in the process.

:lolol:
