The Anchor bar staff were, as already noted, disinterested and incredibly slow. Mind you, £21 for two pints of ale, two pints of lager, a large G&T, a pint of lime and soda, and a large glass of wine isn't too shabby.

The drunk near-tramp's name was Bill, apparently.
