There is only one response to his 'offer' and it isn't "Nice to meet you Mr Bin Laden. Let's sit down and drink a toast to your generous offer".

I'll take it thank you very much. It has nothing do to with us. Seeing Bush on TV last night saying that they support Isreals illegal settlements makes me want to wash our hands of that twat!

Let's go over to America, build a load of huge houseing estates and then fire rockets at anyone who objects.

agreed Lammy - The American government has long been corrupted by money from the Israelis. It's a farce.

Agreed. It was never our war in the first place, just Blair the US Lackey's lies.

It is the US, not Europe that has troops occupying Saudi Arabia, which Bin Laden and his supporters are so furious about.

It was the US, not Europe, that was attacked on September 11.

Any attack on European soil, like that in Madrid, was only because that country had aligned themselves with the US. Not because Europe is the enemy.

Let the US sort out its own mess. The sooner is realises that its policies in the Middle East, particularly its double standards regarding Israel, has been the source of antagonism against the USA for so long, the better it will be for an eventual peaceful solution.

The money is going in the other direction I'm afraid. Israel would be a bunch of paupers if it were not for the huge funding that USA hand out. Not to mention all the arms they sell them.

The American voters hold the real power. Unfortunately a substantial proportion of these are pro Israeli Jews. This is why America finds it almost impossible to go against anything that Israel do. They would lose a shit load of votes. As the election last time was so close it puts Bush in a very weak position. Bush is effectively Israel’s bitch. Whilst Bin Laden has tried (in his own twisted way) to let everyone know this it has had the opposite effect. People now feel like Islam is the oppressor. Not Israel.

I'd like to agree with you too but I reckon Bin Liner is only coming out with this rhetoric to try and drive a wedge between the stronger members of the coalition (the US and unfortunately us Brits) and the weaker members (such as Spain, Italy and Japan). If we were to roll over to his demands and pulled out tomorrow I don't think it would change Al Qaeda's anti-western stance for one second. Ultimately all Europeans are seen by Al Qaeda and Bin Liner as infidels and therefore targets...

The real irony with Bush Verses Bin Liner is that the Bin Laden family have long been tied up with US invertment especially where Georgie Porgie is concerned. (Not many people know that).

Read Michael Moore's book 'Hey Dude wheres my country ?'

Agreed. I don't think you can trust Bin Liner for one minute. I also don't hink he has total control over all the terrorism going on at the moment. I don't think that he orchustrated the Madrid bombings. However, I find Bush's America the most frightening thing since the end of the cold war (oh Amercia was involved in that too!)

America my be the richest most powerful country in the world. THey are NOT however, rulers of the world. They have no right to tell other countries how they should be living their lives. If 50 Arab countries do not want Israel there then maybe they have a point. Israel wa born out of terrerism and I feel it will eventually die through terrerism. It's a sad state of affairs. If America wants to get involved then it should act as a go between to thrash out peace talks. It should not be seen to totally and utterly side with one side. They are both in the wrong. Sadly I think it is an impssible situation in the middle east and war will rage there for many years to come. Mmmm Religion.

Its not our war !. Wake up and smell the coffee. Bin Liner started this war by flying 4 aircraft in the Twin Towers and Pentagon.

That attack was an attack against the west and I can't believe people are now saying ( nothing to do with me guv ) and wanting to shake Bin Liners hand.

Harsh

Gareth I basically agree with what you are saying but feel you are being a bit harsh on Lammy, after all he is entitled to his own views. Thought that was the point of living in a democracy as opposed to living in a world of Bin Liners...

Agreed but its unlikely that either Lammy or Perth Seagull are terrorists

Or maybe I am?

This is ridiculous. This 'back lash' stlye of opinion is exactely the sort of thinking that Bin Laden goes by.

The problem will never be solved by hunting down Bin Laden. The problem is with Americas treatment of Arabs and Muslims in general. It is a sad fact of life that the only people in a position to do anything about this 'war' is the Americans and how they deal with the Israel problem. Our hands our tied. Whilst we still get involved with America crusades we are putting ourselves in the firing line for terror attacks. If America didn't have support from European countries like us then they would have to take a different stand as we (collectively) hold a LOT of money and trade that America would want to keep sweet.

To say "f*** off Bin Laden you c**t!" Is a little tit for tat and accomplishes nothing. The only way to fight terrorism is to fight the causes of terrorism and that is totally in Americas hands at the moment. Coming out on TV and proclaiming support of Israel's illegal settlements has put us all in a great deal of danger as we await the backlash.
