What did people make of it?
It's the strange kind of reality show, we are actually going to see over the next few weeks a Football League manager, Steve Bleasdale, disintegrate in front of the cameras and resign.
Can't imagine what Peterborough fans must be making of it. £100,000 from Sky seems to be the going rate for turning your club into a laughing stock. Although Barry Fry claims Peterborough also made another £150,000 in spin-off revenues from the programme.
Ron seems to be completing his rehabilitation quite well, he came over well in the first episode last night. Bleasdale seems a sympathetic character too, you have to feel for him taking over a tough job in such circumstances. There's a great quote from him saying: "It was like being in The Trueman Show and Big Brother rolled into one. I was doing my team talks and six or seven of my players were just staring at the cameras!" He blames the turmoil caused by the Sky filming for the Posh's failure to get promotion last season.
Not sure how well Barry Fry is going to come out of this. There's a danger that he is looking like a bumbling showman who can't run a football club without stunts like this.
