Not a rumour but with Spurs linked to Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey (appreciate its muted as a £ plus swap for Le Celso) but think he'd be a great signing as a box to box midfielder for us!

The Argus are now reporting that there are no imminent signings.

“The Argus was told earlier his week that further signings are possible but nothing imminent.”

I guess we’ve got the easy ones over the line and the more complex deals are going to take a lot more negotiating.

The squad is looking very good now if Groß remains and Lamptey is fit enough to play right-wing back for more than half a dozen games. Two massive IFs though and I’m hoping that the club will have plans to recruit top level experienced cover for both players if it turns out that they’ll be unavailable this season.

I'm slightly concerned by the lack of RB activity, I've been delighted with the rest of the window though. Even if we lose Gross I'm happy with our midfield.

I can only hope that Hurzeler's system is not reliant on a traditional right back and therefore the need for a specialist is less urgent than we fear. Hinsh could certainly play in an advanced RWB role and of course Tariq (for now) is currently available with Joel as the ol' reliable in the background.

It does look like the remainder of the incomings could be the typical deadline day shenanigans

Could be that with the outlay we've already made, which by our standards is pretty high, they won't go for a RB after all, and give Lamptey, Veltman, and even Offiah a chance?

Possibly especially as we are not likely to play a conventional four at the back

Sign a right back and I would agree.

I said early in the window that the right back market looks utterly shit, with Michael Kayode from Fiorentina being the only somewhat realistic target with fitting "typical Albion metrics".

Had there been a great RB available on the market I think it would have been a priority, but right now I don't see many players who would be a "guaranteed" improvement over Veltman/Lamptey/Hinshelwood.

The man for me is Ferdi Kadıoğlu as I think we need a right wing back if Lamptey is going to continue with his injury struggles and not sign a new contract.

Ferdi is astonishingly versatile, he’d fill the LWB equally well (where he played for Turkey at the Euros). I’m guessing we’d pay big money for him but need to wait until the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal have 100% overlooked him. If we get him, it’d be an end of August signing I believe.

I read it more of trimming the squad down before making further signings.

Michael Kayode is someone i'm hoping the club have on their radar.

20 year old RB from Fiorentina. Huge potential.

If Undav and Gross stay,I am not sure we need anyone
Midfield & attack would be complete. Defensively I’d like at least an RB/RWB, and potentially a pacy centre back. Neither of them a numbers thing, purely improving quality on what we have.

I wonder if Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla is being considered, we were linked in the January transfer window
