BHA Versus Chesterfield 30/09/06

When they realised that Loft wasn't the answer to the problems and we were losing every header in defence Wilkins should have brought on Santos for Loft moved EL Bad back to right back and pushed Harty up to right midfield.

Agree with your defence, but I would have had Robinson on for Hart. Williams' arrival as the targetman has taken OGH's place in the team in my view.

OGH is Mr Versatility so will always be at leasta sub as he can be used in most positions. I personally prefer him at right midfield to defend and also get forward. I think Williams arrival has put more pressure on JR and JG more so than OGH.

Well, I guess I know what Dean Wilkins will be practicing with his first proper full week of training. Defence.

We dominated the game, yet still lost because we let them waltz straight through the middle twice!!!

Terrific save by the Chesterfield keeper to deny us a point though.

People are now talking about bringing in a defensive coach but when I suggested using Jason Dodd for that whilst he was injured last year I was the biggest idiot going.

I did also suggest Steve Gatting on a part time basis as he is coaching at Christs Hosiptal School and was a good defender himself.
