BHA (4th) meet Preston North End (17th) at The Amex, knowing that a win could push the Seagulls up to 2nd. Heaven forbid a defeat & we could fall down to 8th. The Seagulls have a decent record at The Amex (this season), bar that one blip against Brentford. We are the 5th highest scorers at home & joint best defence. PNE have scored less than a goal a game away from home, (this season), so the omens are for a decent home win? Well we thought the same last season & only got a 0-0 draw. Of course with Kayal out as well, it will inevitably be a little more difficult for us? But then we thought so, against Sheffield Wednesday!
Head to head, Preston have the upper hand with 12 wins, 12 draws & only 7 BHA wins. Our record is not great of late against them. One win in our past ten meetings! The last 4 games between the sides have all ended 0-0. Our form (last 6 games home/away) places us 3rd in the league, with improving PNE (11th), though they have only won once in the league so far on the road, at QPR on the opening day.
