I'm not a qualified coach, but my idea of a counter attack is to break from defence quickly and head straight for the oppositions goal with some form of action which hopefully results in their goalkeeper getting involved.

Not get to the halfway line in 7 milliseconds, stop, pass sideways 3 times, then backwards a bit until forced to make a desperate backpass to Ryan who has to hoof it anywhere to avoid conceding or injury.

Well technically that is the basis of the CH tactic is to defend and hit teams on the counter attack .... it may not happen often in matches but that is the theory
