BHA (7th) meet Barnsley (4th) at The Amex on Saturday. With only one point between the sides, the seagulls could fly up to 2nd or flutter down to mid table with a defeat. Barnsley are currently the leagues top scorers with 19 league goals (almost double us!), yet their defence has conceded 11 (almost double us!). Hopefully, there will be a few goals in this match? With consecutive away results at Wolves 4-0 & Preston 2-1, BHA will need to be on their toes. With only 3 goals scored in our past 5 matches our centre forwards & midfield will need to step a gear if all three points are to be awarded to BHA.
As for history between us, Barnsley have the upper hand with 17 wins, 10 draws & 14 seagull victories. In the Championship it is honours even so far, 2 wins, 2 draws & 2 defeats. Barnsley last beat us in our home game in December 2013 2-1, whilst Albion romped to a 5-1 victory (last win) in August 2012.
