Alright?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Prior to Falmer, where have the Albion had their training facilities and how long have they been at Falmer? It only dawned on me the other day that I couldn't remember a time when they didn't train at Falmer.

They did train at hove park, and I do remember previously they trained at preston park in Micky Adams first spell due to the state of the pitches up at Falmer.

That's a good list. Cheers.

Do the club still perceive Falmer as being sub-standard in terms of facilities?

As a venue, it must be one of the nicest places to turn up to work each day.

The Cardinal Newman playing fields were used every so often in the mid to late 80s. My older brother doesn't shut up about saving a Dean Saunders penalty when the albion gate crashed his PE lesson.

When Peter Taylor was Manager, they also trained for a while at Christ's Hospital School near Horsham, whilst the Falmer pitches were considered unsuitable.

(Steve Gatting is/was head of Sport there so I guess that was the link)

I have a great picture of my son with Bobby Z, Lee Steele, Nathan Jones, Steve Melton and Michel after they had finished training.

There is rather a nice signed shirt hanging up in the Reception of the Sports Centre at CH which I believe the club gave as a little 'Thank You' for the use of the (fantastic) pitches.
