Is this the norm for betting sites? They can't lose!
I opened an account for the football as they had a £25 bonus offer if I deposited £25.
A few bets later I had about £160 which I withdrew.

Today I got this.......

Following a review of your account, we have identified that you are in breach of the casino’s standard Terms.

Please refer specifically to the following clause:

Before any withdrawals are processed, your play will be reviewed for any irregular playing patterns. In the interests of fair gaming, equal, zero or low margin bets or hedge betting, shall all be considered irregular gaming for bonus play-through requirement purposes. Other examples of irregular game play include but are not limited to, placing single bets equal to or in excess of 30% or more of the value of the bonus credited to their account until such time as the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met. Should the Casino deem that irregular game play has occurred, the Casino reserves the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or confiscate all winnings.

To view the associated game play, please make reference to BET ID : Q76M-4VHX-8QRW-GHS2

Please be advised that your deposit of £25 and bonus of £25 has been returned and that all winnings gained as a result of said bonus has been confiscated.

I suspect it is this one that they have nabbed you on ...

"placing single bets equal to or in excess of 30% or more of the value of the bonus credited to their account until such time as the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met"

this is a common GOTCHA clause

What this means is that until you met the wagering requirements you could not place any bets bigger than 30% of the bonus ... i.e. £7.50 I suspect that BET ID : Q76M-4VHX-8QRW-GHS2 was more than £7.50?

so although you deposited £25 and received £25 to bring your balance to £50 ... you biggest bet had to be £7.50 to avoid them keeping your winnings. (Of course had you lost they would NOT have refunded your losses so you are correct in that this is a no-lose situation for them if people fail to spot this clause)

Yes it stinks but essentially before taking ANY bonus you have to read all the small print ... BETWAY are one of the biggest rogues out there unfortunately but they are by no means unique.

Unless you're Peter Barlow - he must be the most poverty stricken bookie in the history of the world.

I got 'given' £25 by Ladbrokes, to play in their online casino. When I read the small print, it said I could only withdraw after turning it into £7500 if playing roulette, and using any form of even money bets, like black/red, odd/even, would disqualify me. I'd like to know who might be able to manage it using those terms ??? Seemed like a proper con pour moi...
