Wales v Belgium apparently.

That's according to the advert in The Racing Post this morning. I haven't seen anything on-line confirming it. Stand by for confirmation.

Im delighted, however Wales are now a bigger attraction than England!

Usual qualifying bet, and then Belgium and over 2 1/2 goals in play.

Seeing as I haven't got one in about the last four, that's a warning for anyone contemplating doing the same

By the way, everyone has been missing a trick. Or more to the point, nobody has been prepared to risk it, but it DOES stand.

Bet365 will pay out a free bet if your pre-match bet loses and the game ends 0-0 - on the following markets:

• First Goalscorer
• Last Goalscorer
• Anytime Goalscorer
• Half-Time/Full-Time
• All Correct Score markets
• All Scorecast markets

This means that if you have an exchange account, you're better off NOT lumping on >0.5 goals. Instead, do the half time/full time and lay it off for a small qualifying loss. That way, not only do you get your risk free bet, but if it finishes 0-0 you get a free bet too.

Edit - although you'll probably need to wait to find tighter odds between the lay market and Bet365

Hold up - so they'll refund both the losing qualifying bet (in a free bet) AND the in-play bet (in cold hard cashish)? So you don't need to lay off the original at all - unless I'm missing a trick. This seems ridiculous even by their standards.

Good call. I always just back and lay this offer to bank £35 with both of my accounts, but this gives a chance of double bubble

Coral are doing a decent offer - rather good as a cover bet, bet £10 on correct score and get free £10 in play. Go +0.5 £50 with bet365, then cover with £10 at 0-0 correct score, then you have £60 in play to make some money!

Yes, as long as you bet on one of those markets. The catch is that those markets aren't always the most liquid, so laying off for a small qualifying loss is tricky. At the moment, the HT/FT is 2.75 at B365, but 3.3 at Betfair. That means you'd lose £8 on the bet by laying it off, and that's only worth doing if you think there is a good chance of it finishing 0-0 in 90 mins. That said, if the Betfair odds come down to 2.9 before the game, your qualifying loss will be less than £5...

Got it ( I think).

But wouldn't it be better value to treat the Free Bet afterwards as your lay? It requires more capital but would work (and in a cheaper market of your choice).

The worst case scenario is that both initial bets lose - in which case you're left with £50 cash and £50 free bet. You can then lay against your £50 free bet with something like a fiver?

Actually that's bollocks isn't it, because with the free bet you've forfeited your stake, meaning that you need at least evens to make it back.

Carry on, ignore me.

It's not a free bet mate it's a FULL refund in cash if it's 0-0. Very good offer. Got a feeling it's pre-match bets only though. I've done small £4ish correct score doubles on most games to return £50 each one. Had about 3 or 4 winners so well up but also had about 3 full refunds on the 0-0 - gives me about £8 back in cash usually...

As a guide, Ladbrokes have doing an offer on home nations where if you bet on HT/FT (and a few other markets), and the result is a draw, you get a free bet up to £25. I was backing and laying
this, and the qualifying loss on £25 ranged from under a pound to about £4.

woohoo i fancy plus 0.5 and then either first goal freekick or both teams to score belgium win...

Funny they did't do the offer for the eng slovakia and eng iceland as the bookies would have done well.
