Is for the FA to grow a pair and withdraw from the Qatar World Cup farce. Apart from the debacle and deaths of immigrant workers shipped in to build the new stadiums, having their passports confiscated, we now have the controversy of the young lady in Iran, murdered . No prizes for guessing who we play in our opening fixture, at the end of which, no doubt, we will shake their hands. Enough is enough. At least Kane will be wearing a rainbow captains arm band with a heart in the middle.......what a statement !!
On the footballing side, the players in key positions, the backbone of any team , in the EPL, are all foreigners !!

He said he "won't overstay his welcome" so he'll be gone unless you win the World Cup, which you won't. The FA would probably allow him to stay, if he wanted, if England just reaches the quarter finals, but as usual the media and the people will blame the coach for struggling to compete against significantly stronger teams.

The whole thing is scandalous. Literally the worlds biggest sporting event being played in a country where it’s illegal to be gay. It’s 2022 FFS not 1922.

How can these players take the knee one week then look they other way the next.

Total b****cks.

True, but that’s nothing to do with Southgate being a clueless ***t though. He’d be equally shit if the WC was held anywhere else.

Is all this anti Southgate crap on here just because he's ex-Palace? Or is it because he continually overlooked Dunk?

It can't really be feck all to do with his England results because most of you slating him always claim to not be interested in watching England anyway.... Well at least until things started getting serious for us in the Euro's, when suddenly everyone jumped on the Team Gareth wagon

It's getting boring now all the Southgate abuse on here.

As long as he plays Maguire, says the team played better than the result suggested, and explains to us thickos watching him on tele that we are making progress, he should be fine for a few years yet.

Southgate is a terrible coach. He got the job because Allardyce reverted to type and shot himself in the foot and GS was a personable guy the FA could trust to stick in front of the cameras. He got very lucky in two tournaments and failed when faced with good opposition. His substitutions at the end of the Euro final were not only bizarre but sadistic. When he got the job he claimed he would select players on form
but he has steadfastly selected Maguire and Mings despite poor performances for their clubs. I personally never thought he should have got the job and have always said so.

As for boring, that just the way he sets up the team!!

Some truth in what you say, although he is a boring dullard.

In my very distant view it appears that he has used the Nations League as a test bed for new ideas and players. Yes England are relegated, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the the QFs will be calling again at the World Cup. Does anyone really think that we should automatically think of ourselves as better than that?

As a test bed for what, precisely? For playing the same out of form players over and over again? For showing loyalty to players he likes, regardless? As a test bed to see who he can get away with leaving out?
I don't think Southgate does test beds, does he?

So did he play ‘full strength’ sides in the Nations League? As in HIS full strength, not any normal persons idea of full strength.

No. Its because he is a terrible coach. He's awful and has no 8dea what he's doing.

His squad selection is scandalous. Maguire, Shaw, Bowen, Coady, Phillips was also included - these are all players supposedly in form. Work that one out.
