=2) Leeds. Credit where it's due - always loud and good vocal backing.
=2) AEK. Proper loud support.
1) Marseille. Same as AEK but didn't stop all game.

I seriously doubt their fans support will ever be topped. Incredible support IMO.
Leeds fans yes, AEK and Marseille nah. Leeds fans proper loud and reacting to what's going on on the pitch. As with lots of sets of away fans in this country- usually very decent ourselves when away from home.
AEK and Marseille fans did they even watch the game? Don't get the love-in for the ultra wooaaahhhh and dancing about shyte with everyone watching some guy at the front with his back to the entire game telling them how to act

I thoroughly enjoyed our goal putting an abrupt end to all their hopping around.

They were great, but IMO the Athens fans were just on another level in terms of numbers and noise. OK they had more to celebrate, but they were f*cking ridiculous.

I've absolutely LOVED the vibe of the European games at the Amex. The smoke, the atmosphere, the whole "f*ck me, we are playing in EUROPE" sensation. Its been fantastic, and tonight was one of the best ever.

Best. Ever. I'm still absolutely buzzing.

I think this thread will prove the acoustics of the Amex are weird. I was sat at the North Stand end of the east and I barely heard them.
Same for me. Was definitely aware that they were singing but home fans drowned them out 90% of the time. Good effort from the North and other stands did their bit too.

I don’t understand the love in for them. I think they’re a bunch of twats. They were still giving it all the stabbing and throat slitting gestures from their buses to bemused shoppers who had just left Aldi on the London Road. Yes, there’s probably a number who are ok, but en masse, they are w@nkers.

Then the noise at the game is impressive but quickly becomes boring. If the fans are not engaged with the game then you’re hardly the twelfth man. You’re more of a distraction. They’re just the Millwall or Leeds of France and I wish them nothing but failure.

I'm assuming they weren't body searched or had the fire safety label checked on their flags.

So some loon at the front with a megaphone, smoking a shed load of weed , letting of flares , and chucking stuff over end of the game and not too mention the homophobic and stabbing gestures
Maybe he was just being/acting French?

that insane amount of pyro that they let off just as we were scoring was like inhaling one massive vape

The Marseille fans were absolutely brilliant to watch - all about supporting their team passionately ( and ignoring some of the Brighton knobs who seemed to want to flick the bird at them or shout f*** off all the time). It's the shame that the Amex cannot generate the same

One thing this European tour has showed is just how utterly naff the Palace “ultras” are compared to actual ones

Their ding a ling a ling song to the sound of yellow submarine had me giggling most of the night...Haven't a clue what it means and maybe I don't want to know...but they get points for that. And their sign that said "Tout Pour Toi" took me nearly til the goal to work out what it said!! :ROFLMAO:

They added to the spectacle of the evening, but I would hate to support a team in that way. Total choreography, and the pressure to take part takes away any spontaneity.

And as @Hamilton says, their behaviour in their buses as we waited for a bus outside St Peter’s Church was pretty pathetic, in a “look at me! See how hard I am!” kind of way.

It’s as if MDMA never reached Marseille. Let’s all love a little more, eh?

100% all of this.

If you are impressed by orchestrated NOISE and jumping about, then the AEK were LEAGUES above Marseille. Proper dedication to it, and also - about 500 of them went SKINS on a f***ing horrible night!

I'm in the meh camp.

They weren't particularly loud and I think I just tuned out from the endless drone in the end. Thought AEK were much better.
I bet they were impressed by the endless renditions of the "Robert De Zerbi" song, the occasional "Sussex by the Sea" and "We are Brighton, Super Brighton". They will be travelling back perplexed at "Three Song Brighton".
Or maybe that just came over as a drone?
At least they showed passion - which was completely lacking until the 88th minute

Same.

From the North Shelf they were just a mild drone, never particularly loud or explosive, to the point where I dialled them out for most of the match.

I did enjoy their self-inflicted smokescreen at the start of the match, though. Twats.
