Best steak in Brighton?

I want to take a couple of friends out for a good steak feast. Any recommendations or am I better off going to Canhams and cooking them myself?

Cook them yourself as always cook your own steak better i find!

Either that or the american diner on the seafront just beside the Thistle hotel does a good steak (can't remember the name though)

There's no decent steak house in Brighton - definitely a gap in the market there. A gaucho or Hudson's would go down a treat I reckon...

I prefer the one next door, if it still there, The Taurus Steak House. Failing that go to a proper butchers, not a supermarket, and buy a piece and cook it yourself.

there used to be a butchers at the top of cranbourne street that had all manner of furry creatures hanging upside down outside,not sure if its still there or not but when i did buy a lump of beef from there it was Quality
