Oh dear. I find Steinman very derivative. He wrote the Bat out of hell albums along with Bonnie Tyler's "total eclipse of the heart". Big power rock that went on and on and on and on.

Personally, I don't mind a bit of 1970s Elton John. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and the Beown Dirt Cowboy are both excellent albums IMO.

Beautiful South featured pianos extensively. Madness - My Girl is a great track. Ben Folds - The Luckiest.

Are we allowed electronic music? Could I include OMD - Souvenir.

Beat me to it Buzzer... if you havent heard Ben Folds (NOT Ben Folds Five) then you are not in a position to judge. Listen and then re-assess.

And let's forget - Joe Jackson - 'Be my number two' is classic

what about Japan 'Nighporter' or 'Fobidden Colours' by Sylvian and Sakamoto?

and to finish.... Five for Fighting - 100 years and Superman

Al Stewart, but I like his stuff with or without a piano which does feature quite heavily in some of his songs.

Year of the Cat and On the Border being two of the better known songs featuring piano

At the risk of incurring the wrath of others, Elton John's Tumbleweed Connection has some great piano on it too

Bruce Hornsby and the Range - 'That's just the way it is' has some great piano stuff on it.

And Coldplay have a few, 'What if' is certainly one of them.

What's wrong with Ben Folds Five?

I must get hold of some of Ben Folds' solo stuff, I've been sleeping on that.

Nothing wrong with the Fiver but solo Ben is better.. right now can't stop listening to Rockin the suburbs
