For just pure piano loveliness, Yann Thiersen has gems galore.

Probably my all time favourite piano tune though is - Zimbabwe by Abdullah Ibrahim.

Well i like Steinmans PIANO work so :p

Most of it played by the Roy Bittan who was also the pianist from the E street band.

Edit Buzzer OMD is a good call from the 80's as were bits of the Human League.

Oh dear. I find Steinman very derivative. He wrote the Bat out of hell albums along with Bonnie Tyler's "total eclipse of the heart". Big power rock that went on and on and on and on.

Personally, I don't mind a bit of 1970s Elton John. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and the Beown Dirt Cowboy are both excellent albums IMO.

Beautiful South featured pianos extensively. Madness - My Girl is a great track. Ben Folds - The Luckiest.

Are we allowed electronic music? Could I include OMD - Souvenir.

That's the stuff I mean Buzzer! Keep it coming. I stumbled onto Ben Folds a while ago and would agree. Madness, well of course. Forgot that one. And electronic piano's are definately allowed - as are all things OMD.

If we don't include pop then I have to say that Mozart's Piano Concerto No 21 (2nd movement) is the most beautiful thing that I've ever heard

Well ,if we're going western classical then I challenge anyone to find a better piece than :

NEVERTHELESS by GEORGS PELECIS.

27 minutes of sheer heaven ! Mainly strings but plenty of absolutely gorgeous piano in there that just creates acres of space. It's even better than watching Kevin Thornton, well almost ;)

Well this is one of my favourites. Might have to filed under the 'guilty secrets' category though :)
