Not been a vintage of music, whatsoever.

What songs stand out for you?

I'll start with:

For me, the greatest single track of this decade. 2002, classic. Launched my interest in music, and more specifically, my interest in Scooter. 230 CDs by them later (and 7 years), and I'm STILL loving the Logical Song. Classic, absolute classic.

As good as anything they released in the 80s, well, makes their top 5 atleast!

f***ing hell life is too short.

Perhaps not 'best song', but 'best memories' -

In answering this thread, I tried to think what songs were the main dancefloor fillers when I was at Uni (2003-06 and 2006-08), apart from the Cha Cha Slide by DJ Casper.

My nominations (by that criteria) would be:
The Killers - Anything off the hot fuzz album
Arctic Monkeys - I bet you look good on the dancefloor
Franz Ferdinand - Take me out
The Zutons - Valerie
Gorillaz - Dare
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
Scissor Sisters - I don't feel like dancing
The strokes - this is it
Head automatica - Beating hearts baby

I'm sure there are loads more, but these are the songs that will remind me of the naughties.

YES

YES

NO NO NO - Sex on Fire is one of the most overplayed overrated songs of the decade (IMHO like)
