'Badger', please give it a rest

:lolol:

to be honest thomas, your post about westdene has made me appreciate what it is like to live in the hill of burgess

our sweeping landscape, our cosmopolitan eating restaurants, our mixture of business style bars and traditional english pubs, our thriving leisure centre, our two stations to ship the tourists in and out, our cinematic house, where all manner of people mingle in the delights of modern day theatre, and not forgetting our thriving market

we combine not only the best of our past - the market town, full of traditional english men sipping ale and playing dominoes in the pub, but also the best of a modern day world - leisure facilities, shopping arenas, and a whole host of offices

burgess hill - a town that makes you proud to be british

If only we could in some way merge Westdene with The Hill (despite them being around 10 miles apart), thus creating a promised land for the people of Sussex, then we would have achieved eternal notoriety and good fortune. We would be barons of this fair land. Two towns of olympic history and pride, thrust together to make one heavenly kingdom. Oh yes, rest of Sussex - EAT YOUR HEART OUT:clap2:

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now fair to say that I have a dream.....

this vision is incredible - i feel like god on the first day of the old testament, when he was creating the world, or the planners who had milton keynes laid bare in front of them to create something new and imaginative

maybe we just twin these two thriving towns, allowing us to combine the best elements of both. imagine the laid back mediteranian attitudes of the westdene folk mingled in with the yuppie business style of us hillians.

i honestly believe we would be creating paradise on earth. maybe this was meant to be our mission in life.....

A nice picnic beside the delightful Falmer pond before the nasty football club plonk a monstrosity of a stadium on it and fill the village with raping and pillaging hooligans.
