I'm a very simple player but one moment that stands out was in a seven a side match a year or so ago. I tackled their striker near our goal and took the ball the whole length of the pitch, beating 3 defenders before cutting inside and hitting a sweet right foot strike into the bottom corner. Apart from that I had a rubbish game.

Falmer, soon...
I'm not the most skillful of people, I'm tall, overweight and have no left foot BUT my greatest piece of skill - and there have been a few ;) was this.

I was dribbling the ball down the wing, cut inside to be confronted by two defenders, one to either side of me, closing in fast.

I did one of those knock the ball into your heal and over your head type things, ran through the middle of the two defenders to receive the ball - which had cleared both my head and theirs - on the other side.

Unrivaled Genius - and a complete fluke.

A couple of good ones - in one match I scored a hat-trick of beauties, one from a corner, on the ground with an inside of foot, back to goal. It was in before the gk even knew where the ball was.
The next one was a blast over the gk's head, too fast for him to parry, into the net off the bar. I tried that again for the next, but he parried with both hands.... up into the air in went, so I backtracked to the edge of the box where it came down and hit it on the volley, right into the middle of the bulging net.
Funny thing was, I thought that last one was all so acedemic and simple, no big deal - but my team-mates went nuts over it. Volleys always look great don't they?

Best pass was one through the centre of a crowded defence to our centre-forward, and to get it there it required a decent bend so that their players couldn't quite get it. It went perfectly - so much so that the forward was surprised to have such an easy goal, and he missed! I'll never forget my pass though, it went so well.

Footy is like golf really, you forget most of those screw-ups, but one decent play makes it all worthwhile.

One time I was playing a jumpersforposts match and hit a slide-rule shot, grass cutter along the ground that slid inside the post by agout 4 inches, but of course the opposition declared it was "over the post", and no-one else was in line with the trajectory to see the truth. I'm sure we've all had those

I once got the ball from our goalie and ran the length of a 6 a side pitch beating 4 players with various step overs and bits of skill before being 1 on 1 with the keeper.

Just as i was about to chip the ball over his head and into the net to score the winner i tripped and fell flat on my arse!

Even the f***ing ref was laughing at me! :censored:

In my younger days I successfully scored an overhead kick from the edge of the area with my wrong foot the ball was crossed into me and all, shame I never really did anything on a football pitch since then.

many years ago, in fact it was the tuesday after beckham scored from the halfway line against Wimbledon, the ball was passed back to the centreback and for some reason it went under his foot, and i chased it and from the edge of the centre circle lobbed the keeper a beauty, shame my career never went like his,

I know it doesnt really count, but on Pro - Evo 4 i did the famous SWINNERS commentary, as soon as i said "in it goes" I smashed the ball, and it went in!!!! Genius!

I ran around the kitchen Shearer style for ages after that!

Havent managed to do anything like that since!

Being a mere girl & an oldie at that, I've never played the beautifal game, however: on Sunday whilst cheering on my little boy I ran on to the pitch when he scored a penalty. We kissed & the other players came to join in. They should have had another penalty in the final miniute of the game, but the ref didn't give it because he was afraid of what the daft bird might do:lolol:

shot into the bottom left hand corner before everest was able to take it from me to steal my glory.
Who was it that took over in goal, Kev? Can't remember that.

I was playing in midfield on a Sunday in Sompting. We had a corner which was headed clear. The ball fell to me about 10yds outside the area on the right. I hit it first time on the volley. Well bugger me, if didn't just fly over everyone and nestle itself very nicely inside the left hand post. And rool was nowhere in sight.
