Oh God.
Every poll involving the Beatles will just have a load of muso twats posting about how an obscure band nobody's ever heard of actually pioneered some nonsense and they actually stole all their ideas and "I've listened to loads of music don't you know?"
While somehow missing the much more important point that We Can Work It Out is f***ing AWESOME.

“The modern sandwich variant of döner kebab originated and was popularized in 1970s West Berlin by Turkish immigrants

A German Döner is very different to the British Doner kebab. The meat is cut with beef and a rolled flat bread is used instead of the naff pitta bread. The salad is more sophisticated as well. There is now many German döners available across the UK, but they are not the indigenous 11:30pm with chilli sauce, diced cabbage and onions.
Whilst in turkey you have it with rice and salad (or a buttery iskender).
So the British Doner is still my nomination.

Sorry if this has already been suggested but . . . Apologising when:

- you are at fault
- someone else is at fault
- as a passive aggressive, 'you're wrong'
- as a less passive aggressive, 'f*** you your wrong'
- uttering a sentence.

Voting Tory/accepting leaders based on their privilege of birth. (What's the point of having a ruling class if you don't use them?).

I’ve eaten what appeared to be a doner kebab in Turkey. The big difference was the quality and taste. Much, much better than the stuff you generally get here. Probably one of these:

Which is essentially……..a British Doner.

I’m calling cultural appropriation on the ‘British Doner’. I propose an exclusion.

Nothing particularly British about those last two. Every country I lived/worked in thought they were exceptional. If anything, most people here seem to think the UK is a shit country. I’m exceptional for disagreeing!

3 spaces left on the list of official entries.

Multiple on the nomination list needing your backing vote.

The 99p Mr Whippy no where to be seen yet ..

The Great British Bake Off seems to be all but forgotten along with the Repair Shop

The NHS is still only on the nomination list

And no mentions of Queen either ?!
