Thanks Ali, I keep on thinking that I have to look relaxed as most of what I'm saying is funny by the way I say it and not the exact words themselves.

Anyhows, just got in from a night shift and about to start my journey for the wedding tomorrow. by jumping on a train from wales down to plymouth, I'm tired and stressed, roll on friday!!!

Just make sure if you write it down everything is spelt correctly.

How stupid would you feel if instead of saying "Their big day" you said "There big day".

:dunce:

Just need abit of help with the poxy exotic animals line!!! Still cant thing of anything funny

As some of you know XXXX used to keep a number of exotic pets, snakes, lizards and spiders. He has had to reduce the amount since meeting XXXX, although he still has a number of them. This shows he is loyal and loving but also appreciates the quirky and more exotic side of life. All traits that are sure to make a very interesting wedding night...!

Is that a hint ewe2?

Just finished now thankfully,

Just need abit of help with the poxy exotic animals line!!! Still cant thing of anything funny

You could always try this one. "He didn't want exotic animals. He found them in the street. He took them to the police station as he didn't know what to do with them. The policeman said "they're animals.take them to the zoo". So he did. The following day he took them to the cinema, the next day for a meal and they’ve been with him ever since."

I fookin did it :)

Thank you all for your input, the speech ended up being really good, unfortunately I didnt really give it justice imho, but everyone seem to laugh a fair bit...

Special thanks to whoever suggested the "our father line" went down an absolute treat, I shall b forever greatfull as it definately got me going nicely. Got abit tongue tied in the important serious bits but all in all went well.

Once again thank you NSC, much appreciated x

Only just noticed this thread! Did my first best mans speech in February and was bricking it as much as you by the sounds of it! You can't really go wrong, especially as a lot of people have already had a few drinks by the time you step up!

Glad it went well!

Thats one thing that started to annoy me abit, why did everyone think I was bricking it. :)

One guy, on the other side of the family must of told me 100 times afterwards how well I'd done. He's abit weird tho, he was ready to move to plymouth as in his words "I likes what I sees of you people" after a couple of free pints I told him I live in cardiff and couldnt wait to get home

I have been remiss in not checking the dates of your original thread. After reading it I thought this must be a new thread as it is very unlikely anyone would bounce such tedium filled with out of date best man's speech. That was clearly my second mistake relating to this thread. Now, shall we all get on with our days. Peace and f***ing. XXX
