Yep, this is the best game I've seen at the Amex.July 2022. England women v Spain.

And the energy of the late turnaround carried us into Brighton ; I celebrated quite late into the night, 4am, and had to be at Gatwick to fly to Austria for 9am. Dragging my snowboard equipment after a few hours sleep and really hung over was awful. Wouldn’t change it though. That game really had everything.
I thought it would be a very disappointing night, I didn’t fancy our chances for some reason.
Hostile crowd, under the lights, Knocky putting us 1 up, then the pivotal moment, Murray’s handball, ( still not convinced) and sending off, Forrestari’s abysmal penalty, Stockdale saving it, then the quite brilliant save from the follow up.
It would have given them the lead, but, instead it seemed to really knock their confidence.
Knockys winner in the last 5 minutes, their no9 falling for Stephens windup, and getting a red , then the hatchet job on March, should have been a straight red, it could have been a career ending foul.
Them down to 9, and the Amex in dreamland.
What a game, what a night.
game or atmosphere or occasion ?Yep, this is the best game I've seen at the Amex.
I just loved itgame or atmosphere or occasion ?
because I was there that night, and there was certainly a sense of something important was happening, and to be honest Spain deserved to win, however the game it's self was not great, and being honest and possibly controversial for saying so the standard was not as you would see Brighton v Liverpool or Chelsea etc.
Are you having a laugh? That was better than Donny was it? Or numerous other games!!July 2022. England women v Spain. Atmosphere. Tension. Very happy crowd. An incredible night with football mad granddaughter.
And didn't have the anxiety usually associated with watching the seagulls play.
As for Godstone, too many to mention. But that evening was very special.
,
Of course not, but ni didn't see them. Havnt seen more than a dozen at Amex. Never missed a game at the Goldstone I 10years before moving away. In fact I have very deliberately ne erdriven past the site ofthe old ground. Too painful. Are you having a laugh? That was better than Donny was it? Or numerous other games!!
Yep, probably agree with you. The game was "Meh" but the day/night was sensational. I was at Newcastle in '79 but had to stay sober for the long, long drive home.Wigan.
Just loved everything about the whole day.
