My favourite of the year (couldn't care for the use of the word 'best' in this context really, seeing as 'best' is entirely subjective) was Die Hard 4.0, closely followed by The Simpsons Movie.

I was a bit dissapointed with Die Hard 4.0, seen it done it all before. Transformers was a watershed in cinema. When it was announced they were making an action movie of the Japaneses cartoons with Bay directing everyone predicted the biggest turkey of all time.

In fact Bay crafted a superlative action film, tongue in cheek and a little bit cheesy, yes it was meant to be, did you not get it with the greatest effects ever produced and committed to celluloid. A real robotic battle ballet with stunning recreations of the Robots and the original voice of kick arse Optimus Prime.

It was a resounding triumph and a big in your face from Bay with his best film by far. The $ 700 000 000 box office return from a $ 200 000 000 budget showed that far from being a turkey it was a top 20 of all time hit.

T2 and T3 are greenlighted and T2 in 2009 is the must see movie.

I thought this film rocked.

The Bourne film was a dissapointment for me, the camera work just pissed me off after half an hour , if Greenaway makes Bourne 4 can he please invest in a tripod ot get some medication for his Parkinson's disease.

Bourne Ultimatium was fantastic, 9.1. Die Hard 4.0, as a huge Die Hard fan, this has to be the best film of 2007. 10.0

got to watch Flags and letters as I have the box set, Rescue Dawn is a must see but did not come to the cinema as well

flags not so good but watch it first. id give it 7.2
you see exactly the same battles and incidents in letters but from the japanese perspective.

Transformers walked away with the best Summer blockbuster award from NSC Pevenseagull and I know loads of people who absolutely love it, its an out and out action film not shakespeare and does exactly what it says on the tin and more
