I'd also like to throw in Dark Therapy - Echobelly

"King of the Kerb" is better than Dark Therapy, and even that is pretty average. Uninspired post-Morning Glory Britpop, nothing more.

Uninspired post Morning Glory Britpop? They were released the same month so that's bollocks.

If you're looking for a great vocal performance by a female artist then I stand by Dark Therapy. Sonia's voice on that track is clear as a bell and incredibly haunting.

Worms and Angels is pretty good, but ON as a whole still doesn't quite hit the mark for me. I saw them a while ago in Bristol (late 2001 ish?) and Madan was, as expected, an absolute cracker.

Apologies for the Morning Glory thing - that album had a habit of forcing everything else into insignificance for a while.

Has anyone mentioned Aretha Franklin yet? If, not, shame on you!!!!(if someone has....good shout!)

Also, Sinnerman by Nina Simone is a classic.

I'm also partial to 'violet' by Hole.
